I just signed up for this vitual training: EYES ON ICE. DOCUMENT AND RECORD. #thetimeisnow before we become the United States of #AllKingAndNoCountryLeft 🇺🇸❤️ “It’s possible to understand the world from studying a leaf. You can comprehend the laws of aerodynamics, mathematics, poetry and biology through the complex beauty of such a perfect structure. It’s also possible to travel the whole globe and learn nothing” — from The Woman Who Fell From the Sky by JOY HARJO 10min treadmill warm up WALK + 25min ROWING + 5min cooling down WALK = familial tremors kicking in. “Hey!”, they say. “We are family chica!”. This Pride 2026, more than ever, there will be conversations around women’s bodies, queer bodies, illness, migration, motherhood, queer family, aging, and the right to exist and thrive right now in the United States. Stay tuned. We are working on presentation events for “Naming the Body: A Queer Woman’s Restorative Mapping of the Self” (@mouthfeelpress, June 1st, 2026). “Todos somos ARROZ y luz” leí. Iba con hambre 😵‍💫 Grateful to @mouthfeelpress for giving “Naming the Body: A Queer Woman’s Restorative Mapping of the Self” a home; and to generous readers like talented writer and amazing human being @nandolopez_autor: Thank you Nando for your amazing shoutout at Vanity Fair España 🥹😍🙏🏼🥳 Beautiful words by Sade: “I am a Soldier of Love”. As for myself, I am a militant of love and nothing makes me more proud and feels more relevant and urgent today than walking side by side with our kids. With the kindest, most ethical and diverse San Francisco Bay Area generation of children, now turning into adults and citiZens. There is an alternative to now in the United States. I begin the year with the first of several grant submissions. Because so much of doing art comes down to asking for money so you can afford doing the art; or as Tony Morrison called it: TO DO LANGUAGE. The only current Administration agenda is grabbing: power, women, spot light, money, speech, crypto, oil, land, brown people, trans kids… ALL backed by a Republican spineless House and Senate. Either they grow a spine/conscious or this becomes a living hell for most Americans already surviving paycheck by paycheck, and without medical insurance. The rest of us will follow them in due time. At this point, we are either part of the problem or part of the solution. And we just invaded Venezuela! It’s the 70s and 80s all over again for the entire American continent!
